If those are 58mm chevey throttle bodies, there are 2 58mm butterflys in each throttle body, that means there is about 16.32 cubic inches for air to flow through. A big single that is say 80mm only has about 7.74 cubic inches. The bigger the opening the more air you can force in under boost.
